What 9K wonders about our novel study 'Wonder'.

August Pullman is different, which is a classic theme in children’s literature. But Auggie has a real problem because his facial deformities make him look very different indeed. People have to look very hard to see beyond Auggie’s face, and to appreciate the person he is inside.
RJ Palacio lives in NYC with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. For many years, she was an art director and book jacket designer, designing covers for countless well-known and not so well-known writers in every genre of fiction and non-fiction. She always wanted to write, though. She kept waiting for the perfect time in her life to start writing, but after more than twenty years of designing book jackets for other people, she realized that the perfect time would never really present itself. It's never the perfect time to start writing a book. So she decided to just go for it. Wonder is her first novel.

ReplyDeletethe book is very interesting and the rising is because they explain August's life and how he looks.this is why l like the book because people look at him wired and he got back stabbed from jack will.And l like August because he is different to other kids.

The story so far is actually pretty cool. I like how much details they put in the story so there isn't any confusion. My favourite character so far is Via, I like how independent she is.

i like how the book Wonder tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school.
